About Us
Who We Are
Medical & Community Chaplaincy (MCC) is a registered South African faith‑based spiritual care organisation founded in 2018 by Chaplain Meisi Selina Mvambo. We equip and deploy trained chaplains who bring compassionate, ethical, and faith‑informed care to individuals and communities across healthcare, institutional, and community environments.
Our Mission
To provide compassionate, faith‑informed spiritual care that brings hope, healing, and dignity to individuals and communities — while equipping and empowering chaplains to serve effectively across healthcare, community, and institutional environments.
Medical & Community Chaplaincy
Our Christian Foundation & Interfaith Practice
MCC is rooted in Christian values of compassion, service, dignity, and the love of God. At the same time, we operate within an interfaith framework — training chaplains to respectfully serve individuals of any faith background without imposing beliefs, honouring each person’s spiritual path while offering genuine care.
Our Partners
We collaborate with government institutions (Gauteng Department of Health, Department of Social Development), universities (Wits Plus, UP Enterprises), and organisations such as the Theo Institute of Health Studies, Grace Guard Wellness, and Move for Transformation Ministry. Together, we build a comprehensive network of spiritual care across South Africa.
Faith-Based Chaplaincy Conference 2023
In March 2023, MCC was highlighted at the first annual Faith-Based Chaplaincy Conference in Pretoria, hosted by Newzroom Afrika. Faith-based organisations from across South Africa gathered to address social ills and strengthen collaboration between churches, communities, and leaders. MCC was featured as a key initiative, demonstrating our role in equipping chaplains to bring hope and transformation nationwide.
